My association with Harley riding began when my two sons and I wanted to ride pillion with my husband!  I decided to take my bike test and have never looked back. We joined the Fenlanders chapter and our HOG journey began.

I began riding a Sportster 1200 and moved on to my trusty Fatboy after about a year, realising the benefit of a bigger bike when carrying a passenger. We enjoyed many years of riding together as a family, with trips to various European, UK rallies and holiday trips. One of our favourite trips included a visit to the USA to join friends living in Colorado and hiring bikes to ride to Sturgis. My sons now both ride their own bikes but we still enjoy the opportunity of riding together as a family on occasion, a real privilege.

Having ridden for many years with the Fenlanders Chapter we were delighted to be asked to help set up the Iceni chapter when the Norwich Harley dealership opened in 2008. The Chapter grew very quickly and included a significant number of lady riders, a pleasing result!

More recently my husband and I have bought new Softtail Slims and been extremely pleased with the decision. The handling and styling of this model is superb and has encouraged a continued passion for riding. I still enjoy riding my Fatboy from time to time.

I hope to continue riding, planning ride outs and meeting and encouraging new members into the Harley-Davidson and Motorcycling scene, particularly the ladies, for as long as possible!
