As a Mum of two sons my association with Harley riding began when they were bickering to see who could ride pillion with their Dad, Ross, on his Harley. Having experienced the joy of riding on two wheels in my late teens on my Garelli moped I understood the appeal of riding and decided to take my bike test so I could join my husband in chauffeuring our offspring and sharing some family fun.

I began riding a Sportster 1200 and moved on to my trusty Fatboy after about a year, realising the benefit of a bigger bike when carrying a passenger. We enjoyed many years of riding together as a family, with trips to various European and UK rallies and holiday destinations. One of our favourite trips included a visit to the USA to join friends living in Colorado and hiring bikes to ride to Sturgis. The boys now ride their own bikes but we still enjoy the opportunity of riding together as a family now and again, a real privilege.

As members of HOG we were delighted to be asked to help set up the Iceni chapter when the Norwich Harley dealership opened in 2008. The Chapter grew very quickly and included a significant number of lady riders, a pleasing result!

I currently ride a customised Softtail Slim and hope to continue riding, planning ride outs and meeting and encouraging new members into the Harley-Davidson and Motorcycling scene, particularly the ladies, for as long as possible!
