Riding for me began as a kid on various bikes including BSA Bantams, Scooters and mopeds, embarking on the road with a FSIE when I reached 16.  I went on to ride a range of road bikes, then took up racing Motocross in the late 70’s. A house and marital responsibilities forced a temporary period away from bikes, however they were never far from my thoughts and the passion for riding was renewed when the decision to buy a Harley was made in the late 90’s.

HOG membership soon provided a fantastic new social scene for me and my whole family, this was to be further developed when Betty, my wife, took up riding Harleys and it’s been loads of fun ever since.

As with many Harley-Davidson owners, my first Harley was a 1200 Custom Sporty, which provided plenty of enjoyment and was a great way to get started with the iconic brand. I have been privileged to have owned a number of Harleys over the years since that first bike, with examples from across the whole range, including a Dyna Wide Glide, Softails and several Big Tourers. More recently I am enjoying a Street Glide Special which offers comfort and performance, all in one package.

Joining Iceni Chapter as a founder member in 2008, I have organised many riding events and ride outs including several European trips.

Over the years I have served as a Road Captain, Safety Officer and Assistant Director, I am proud to now hold the position as Iceni Chapter Director.

I am looking forward to many more years of enjoyable Harley riding with friends and family, alongside all the fun the HOG family provides.

I hope to meet up and ride with you sometime soon.

Ride Safe.
